An Invitation from Pastor Jeff...

Thank you for visiting Resurrection Lutheran's website. I hope you found the information helpful and that you learned a little about our congregation. If you'd really like to know what we're like, the best way to find out is to visit on Sunday morning at 11:00 am. Resurrection Lutheran is a small, diverse group, and I think you'll find us welcoming and friendly. Resurrection Lutheran's Sunday worship services are at 11:00 am and we also have Sunday school classes for all ages beginning at 9:30 am.
Resurrection Lutheran's worship services are "traditional", but our music is diverse. The service follows the outline of the historic church, with familiar elements like the Kyrie, Creed, Holy Holy Holy and Lamb of God. There are three readings from the Bible and we also either sing or speak a Psalm. But the music is eclectic. On a typical Sunday, we include songs and hymns from four different hymnals. They may include classic hymns and old favorites, but also contemporary praise songs and maybe even some folk.
The diversity in music reflects the varied backgrounds in our congregation. Some are life-long Lutherans, while others only began to attend church a couple of years ago. A number of our members are Roman Catholic by background while others are Baptist or Methodist, Episcopal or Pentecostal. While we have a few native Texans, most are from other parts of the U.S. - or from Mexico, Germany, England or the Philippines. We range in age from senior citizens to toddlers. And we're all at different points on our spiritual journey. With all that variety, you don't have to worry about not fitting in.
I cordially invite you to visit Resurrection Lutheran and come see for yourself. In the meantime, I wish you God's abundant blessing.
Sincerely
Jeff Lange, Pastor
